GIANINE TABJA
Graduate with Distinction from the Master of Letters in Fine Art Practice - Sculpture at The Glasgow School of Art (Glasgow, 2017-18). She has been selected to participate in residences in Peru and abroad: Localities III-Hacking Europe (Brussels, 2018), Puerto Turin, R.A.T (Mexico DF,2014), Espacio02 - El Galpón Espacio (Lima, 2013) and as part of the Emergentes Collective: Hawapi – Huepetuhe (Madre de Dios, 2015) and Pariacaca (Junin, 2014). She had two solo exhibitions: Unidad I: El Paraíso, Cecilia González Arte Contemporáneo Gallery (Lima, 2015) and Levedad e Identidad in the Ricardo Palma Cultural Center (Lima, 2012) and in collaboration with Gabriela Flores: Since 200 years, Encuentro Nacional de Artes Visuales de Trujillo (Trujillo, 2018). Among her collective exhibitions include: Graduate Degree Show (Glasgow, 2018), Limp Structures (Glasgow, 2018), Todo lo sólido se desvance en el aire (CCPUCP, 2016), De la Huaca al Boom: un rostro para Lima (Galería John Harrima, 2015), Instrucciones (Wu Galería, 2014); Metro Privado Colectio ¿Emergentes? (CCE, 2013); El Último Lustro (Sala Luis Miró Quesada Garland, 2011); among others. Co-founder of the artists collective Emergentes and the independent cultural space Taller Santa Rosa in Lima. She worked as and art tutor in different public and private institutions.
